“Corky” Grove
Chief Grove is a 25 year veteran officer
that has served in several divisions within the GFPD. He is currently
the Chief of Police and oversees all aspects of the police department.
He is a graduate of the College of Great Falls, the FBI National
Academy, and the FBI Intermountain Command College.
He supervises eighty-two Officers and a civilian staff of thirty-seven.
The Great Falls Police Department provides Law Enforcement Services for
a population of 67,000.
Working in partnership with the entire community, the Great Falls Police
Department is committed to providing the highest quality of police
service to the citizens of Great Falls by preventing crime, enforcing
the law, and vigorously pursuing and arresting criminals. The Department
will promote community safety by seeking solutions to any problem that
creates fear or threatens the quality of life in the City of Great
Falls.

Lynn
Erickson began his career in law enforcement in 1981 as a police officer
in Williston, North Dakota, where he worked for 8 years. He
relocated to Polson, Montana, and worked for the Police Department there
for a year to get back into Montana.
He then went to work for the Montana Highway Patrol were he
worked for 9 years serving the Culbertson and Glasgow areas. In
April 1998, he was appointed Chief of Police of Glasgow and has been
here ever since. He is currently involved with the Special
Olympics, MACOP Executive Board, Valley County Coalition, Ground Zero
Committee, Association of Retired Highway Patrol, 911 Board, and has
recently been appointed to the Montana Law Enforcement Academy Advisory
Council.

Mark Johnson started with the Bozeman Police Department in 1994. Since
that time, he has served in the patrol and detective divisions and is
currently a Lieutenant assigned to the patrol division. Mark graduated
from Chadron State College in Chadron, NE with a bachelor of science
degree in Criminal Justice.

Clayton Coker -
Northwestern Regional Director

Chief Coker permanently
relocated to Libby, his wife's hometown, in 1994. He is formerly a
native of Texas. Coker is a
veteran of the United States Marine Corps and a 1987 graduate of the
East Texas Police Academy. He and his wife of 21 years, Carnita, have
six children. Coker's past law enforcement experience includes service
with the Paris, Texas Police Department, the Lamar County, Texas
Sheriff's Office, and the Lincoln County, Montana Sheriff's Office. He
has been employed as Chief of Police with the Libby Police Department
since July of 1996. In 2000 Chief Coker served as a Police Instructor in
Kosovo. Coker is a certified
Police Ethics Instructor with the National Institute of Ethics and is
the current State Chapter Director of the International Association of
Ethics Trainers. Chief Coker holds the following department
commendations: Patriot Award, Combat Cross, Gallantry Star, Wounded in
Combat, Combat Action, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Unit Citation,
Good Conduct, U.N. Medal. Chief Coker holds the following POST
certifications: Texas- Basic Certification. Montana- Basic
Certification, Intermediate Certification, Advanced Certification,
Supervisory Certification, Command Certification, Proctor Certification,
Instructor Certification.
Troy
McGee began his law enforcement career in 1974 as a Deputy with the
Lewis & Clark County Sheriff’s Department
and moved on to the
Helena Police Department in 1975. Over
the years, he has worked his way up through the ranks and on August 11,
1996, he was promoted to Chief of Police.
During his law enforcement career at the HPD, his assignments
have included shift supervisor, Selective Traffic Enforcement,
Crimestoppers, Evidence, Criminal Investigation, Juvenile Officer,
Public Relations, and supervising Dispatch and Records.
Chief McGee is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, which is a
program, designed specifically for law enforcement professionals.
Chief
McGee is or has been a member of numerous organizations throughout his
career including the Crimestopper Program, Montana Attorney General’s
Law Enforcement Advisory Council, Governor’s Montana Homeland Security
Task Force, Association of Public Communication Officers, Montana Peace
Officers Standards and Training Council (POST), Montana Police
Protective Association and Montana Association of Chiefs of Police.
Additionally, he serves as a legislative lobbyist for the Montana
Association of Chiefs of Police and the City of Helena.

Tim Shanks has been in law enforcement
for 27 years and with the Great Falls Police Department for 23 years.
He has served in the patrol and detective division and is
currently assigned as the Captain of Support Services.
Tim is a member of
IACP and MPPA. Tim, a graduate of
the FBI National Academy, is currently a board
member on the Cascade County DUI Task Force and CASA-Can, a children’s
advocate network.
